ESVAGT’s personnel basket for offshore transfer – the Safe Personnel Transfer Basket – considerably enhances safety levels for personnel being lifted to and from oil rigs and ships.

Welding
All welding is performed to approved procedures by Det Norske Veritas and by approved welders. All welding of primary structures are fully penetration tested. |

Non-skid flooring
All 4 entrances fitted with non-skid flooring to ensure safe entrance and exit. |

|
|
The vertical rigid structure
The vertical rigid (stainless steel) parts of the personnel transfer basket are covered with synthetic foam to reduce risk of injuries and to provide secure, non-slip grips. |

|
Wires
Chain sling or wires are fitted to the basket. An “indicator” enclosed in a sleeve made from high visibility synthetic material is connected to the wires or chain sling. The “indicator” acts as directional guide for the crane driver. |

Closing straps
Entrances can be closed under basket operation by webbing straps fitted with fast click-buckle system. |

|
Bottom deck
Bottom deck is of heavy plate stainless steel, the top surface of which has a standard non-slip pattern. |

|
Nets
4 nets made by spliced rope are attached to upper and lower stainless steel structure. These nets serve as the principal means whereby personnel secure themselves inside the basket. |

|
Shock absorbing function
Large floats are fitted underneath the deck and provide shock-absorbing function when landing on hard steel decks together with the large orange collar. |

|
Strap tighteners
Strap tighteners are used for tightening the stretcher to the basket when it is in use. |

|
Emergencies
Offshore transfer of injured personnel is made easy, safe, and comfortable for the worker. You are contained with in the frame work of the personnel basket and medical personnel remain in contact with you for the trip from the rig to the boat. Up to two personnel plus the injured worker can be transported at the same time. |
